Dirty Pretty Things, a movie worth seeing!

OK, I had heard good things about this film and treated myself to a viewing the first night it came to town. The fact that it came to "Fat City" at all was a bit of a surprise. The turn out was light but everyone seemed to be caught up in this story of hard knocks towards immigrants trying to survive in London and working together to overcome a dirty little racket. The next night, we took my sis-in-law out for a birthday movie/dinner celebration and I got to see it again with a more enlightened audience. The results were the same as everyone seemed to get a lot of of it and left feeling like they had been a part of a rather scary but reassuring ride.
