Perfect Day

A slow start still left plenty of time for breakfast goodies at the Bakery. Strong Coffee too. Then off we went for the hike to Deer Lake. A steep trail With rocky footing and some great views. The lake at the top is small and isolated. A perfect spot for lunch of tinned salmon, crackers, cheese dried apples and water. Lots of pictures too. The return hike went much faster downhill. We had enough energy left for a shorter three mile hike near Long Lake before picking up dinner for the cabin porch. new owners at the Diner and not much ot a menu. Oh well. Even no coffee at the lodge was OK. After reading outside while the sun set, it was time to come inside and finish my book washed down with tea and a Cookie or two. Not a bad day. Balmy weather with a cool breeze at times. Wildlife, pictures and very good company and memories. A perfect day!
