MLK Day

It's important to stop and take a moment to reflect on Martin Luther King and what he has meant to us all. It has nothing to do with all the sound bites you see from those like Bush trying to ride his coat tails and get a little of his greatness to rub off.

Dr. King had a dream that was both simple and far reaching. By sheer force of will and conviction he set a very high standard for standing firm against injustice and brought us all considerably closer and aware of each other with tolerance and respect. If he were still alive today he would be speaking out against the war in Iraq, and all the fear and censorship we see pushed by the current administration.

His challenge to all of us to do something about racism and injustice here and in the rest of the world remains with much to be done. What better way to honor his memory than to step up, speak out and march in his place. Keep the dream alive!

Peace and Justice
